I have a huge smile on my face after finishing this read. First, I was so excited when I received an advanced copy through a Goodreads giveaway, so THANK YOU!!! Second, I so loved Jane's Melody, but the one thing that I felt was missing was an epilogue; why you ask? Because as an avid reader, when I fall in love with a couple and their story, I crave their HEA, and I want the authors version of their vision for the couple. So in my mind, Jane's Harmony is the extended epilogue that we didn't get with Jane's Melody, and what a beautiful epilogue it is.This story reminded me and reinforced what I love so much about Ryan Winfield as an author. The emotion is palpable and heartfelt, the intimacy is tastefully done yet sexy, and the progression of the plot was clever and well thought out. Jane is now stronger and more confident, but occasionally, a little vulnerability peeks through; the reality of her move to Austin to be with her starving artist and love Caleb, starts to really sink in. She is jobless, living in a small and modest apartment with our budding artist; they go through some growing pains as a couple, but the two constants that neither can dispute, is their love for each other and Caleb's musical talent. Jane has the brilliant idea to enter Caleb into an American Idol-esque reality show for singer/songwriters. Caleb is extremely reluctant as first, seeing it as a sell out; but his extreme need to provide for Jane and be the man that she sees as a provider outweighs his reluctance. Ryan did a great job showing the glitz and reality of this process, and to me, it made the story even richer.
When you love a story and a couple so much, as I did after reading Jane's Melody, it is exciting and little scary when you receive sequels because your expectations are so high, that you don't want to be disappointed. I'm sure that the authors probably experience that same trepidation of their subsequent work; but in this instance, Ryan truly captured all the magic that made me love the first book so much, and did not disappoint me with this continuation of their story. I'm so grateful to have received this advanced copy, and looking forward to more from this author!

Jane Harmony A Novel Ryan Winfield 9781476771250 Books Reviews
Let me start off this review with saying yes, I am ashamed of myself for buying and reading this on release day and just now getting around to reviewing it. What kind of fan am I? I’m going to blame the computer problems I’ve had for the last year and over scheduling myself for blog tours, not leaving me much time to write reviews for books I bought.
Jane’s Melody was one of my favorite books that I read in 2013. I saw an ad for it on Facebook, bought it, read it, and became a huge fan of Ryan Winfield’s. I proceeded to buy every book he had put out and eagerly waited the release day for Jane’s Harmony (that I had preordered the day he announced it).
Was the wait (that always seems like forever when you are waiting for a sequel to a favorite book) worth it? A thousand times YES!
I honestly wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about a sequel to my favorite story. I loved Jane and Caleb and I felt good about where we left them at the end of Jane’s Melody. It was perfect as it was and sometimes when an author tries to put another book out at the fans’ pleading request, it doesn’t feel the same.
I ended up loving Jane’s Harmony just as much. The emotional ups and downs that Ryan writes are amazing, you ride along on this journey with them. I’ve said it before, one thing that is unique to me about his writing is that instead of feeling like you are a reader/observer to what is going in, in these books you are so mentally and emotional involved that it feels like you are right there with the characters. Jane’s Harmony was again like that. I was right along with Jane on her highs and lows, my heart would sink when hers was hurting, the emotional tug of war she was feeling was hard for me to read. There were Caleb’s struggles as well, it is really hard to be true to yourself in the situation that he was in. It would have been incredibly easy for him to become someone that Jane wouldn’t have any recognized with the opportunity he was given…I’m going to just end that sentence as an incomplete one. I don’t like to go where the blurb doesn’t in my reviews.
I adored Jane’s Harmony, the reconnection to two of my favorite fictional characters, the love that they have between them, the tough decisions that they have to make, the way they stay strong when everything around them is going to pot, and the friendships that they make with others along the way. Those friendships always play an integral part in this series and I love them.
5 “thank you for letting me spend some more time in Jane and Caleb’s world” stars from me!
I just finished reading Jane's Harmony and all I can think to say is that Ryan Winfield is a complete genius! You can absolutely feel the love they have for each other on every page. It has been a long time since a story has touched my heart they way that Caleb and Jane has. The story picks up where Jane's Melody left off with Jane following Caleb to Austin. They are struggling to get by but so much in love with each other that all that matters to them are each other. Caleb gets a huge break with his music and leaves for California and a spot on a TV music program. Jane is still struggling with the losses of the loved ones in her life, however nothing can come between these two. If you don't read any other books this year please give these two a try. I promise you will not be disappointed!!! If I could give it more stars I would!
